Jeff Garretson
Jeff
Garretson was raised in Streator,
Illinois.
He began his acting career at Otter
Creek-Hyatt Grade
School, where he performed in
several productions every year. Jeff
eventually broadened his audience at Streator’s Engle
Lane Theater,
including productions of A Funny Thing
Happened on the Way to the Forum and Free
to Be.. A Children’s Musical.
In 2003, Jeff moved to Chicago and began studying
improv at the famed Second City Theater and acting at the Metropolis
Theater.
Upon
completion of the “Beginning Program” at The SC
Training Center, Jeff began performing with his group
Improv This!
around the
Chicago
suburbs.
Having a love for movies, Jeff
began his film career with extra work in the films such as
Omama: Royal Blood,
Chasing
Robert, and
The Break Up.
Later he secured supporting
and lead roles in the independent films:
Umlaut:
Around the Sound,
Missed Connections,
a zombie feature
The Undeadening,
Drop Shadow’s
Tree,
English is Hard, and most recently in the
sitcom pilot effort,
The Birthday Card.
Jeff is currently a student in the Conservatory
at The Second City and a member of TVI Actors Studio in
Chicago. He has recently completed improv training at the
Annoyance Theater
where he can be seen performing with Corrupt Ferret in beginning Jan
2007.
He also
performs live and makes sketch comedy videos with
Baron Von Awesome.
