Michael R Steinbeck

    Michael R. Steinbeck was born and raised in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin. He has been making films since he was nine years old. Michael is engaged in many facets of his work. He directs and edits all of his films and is also involved in producing and serving as director of photography. Michael creates all of his own visual effects and works closely with his composers on creating the musical score.
            Michael’s official independent film debut was in 2004 with Green Eyes for Anastice, a feature length sci-fi drama involving time travel. Green Eyes for Anastice was seen in several film festivals around the country including the 2004 New York Independent Film and Video festival and is currently for sale on Amazon.com.
            Michael’s sophomore film is TREE, a 45 minute short film completed in 2007. TREE is a thought provoking film that questions the idea of destiny versus human control. TREE was produced in conjunction with Gaslight Films and Rule 42 Productions.
Michael has also enjoyed working with and assisting fellow filmmakers on their projects.
            Michael is married and currently resides in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
